Application Process

When ROAR Florida receives an application and the supporting documents, the application will be in a line for a preliminary review. Due to limited resources and available living spaces, a small number of applications are reviewed monthly in the order they are received. The applicant and legal representative will be contacted after the application is reviewed. ROAR Florida is unable to provide recurring updates on in-process applications.

Documents Required

  • Income verification (social security benefits letter, paystub, or bank statement)
  • Proof of Legal/Financial Representative (i.e. Guardianship, Guardian Advocate, Representative Payee, Power of Attorney (as applicable)
  • Medical, Neuropsychological, or Psychological evaluation indicating intellectual and/or developmental disability prior to age 18 (definition provided application)
  • Two forms of Identification (Identification Card/Birth Certificate/Passport, etc.)
A nonrefundable $75 application fee is required for the application to be processed. Payment is required at the time of submission.

If all the initial documents are thoroughly complete and the applicant is eligible, the applicant and legal representative(s) will be invited for an interview and information meeting.

Day DEN Program

The Day DEN Program is a weekday daytime offering at ROAR FLORIDA’s central gathering space, designed to provide structured activities, arts & crafts, communal meals, skill development, and social interaction.

It embodies the community’s goal of supporting independent, engaged, and vibrant living.

The Day DEN Program is held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. It is open to all our residents and community members, creating an inclusive environment that welcomes everyone who qualifies to participate. This program adds value for those looking to socialize and experience what true independence looks like at ROAR FLORIDA.

*Please note: We do not accept Medicaid waivers, and community participants must have their own support person with them at all times. The Day DEN is NOT a traditional day program, and participants may not be dropped off without support.

**ROAR FLORIDA reserves the right to review and refuse applicants as needed to ensure the safety and well‑being of our residents, participants and staff.
