Application Process
When ROAR Florida receives an application and the supporting documents, the application will be in a line for a preliminary review. Due to limited resources and available living spaces, a small number of applications are reviewed monthly in the order they are received. The applicant and legal representative will be contacted after the application is reviewed. ROAR Florida is unable to provide recurring updates on in-process applications.
Documents Required
- Income verification (social security benefits letter, paystub, or bank statement)
- Proof of Legal/Financial Representative (i.e. Guardianship, Guardian Advocate, Representative Payee, Power of Attorney (as applicable)
- Medical, Neuropsychological, or Psychological evaluation indicating intellectual and/or developmental disability prior to age 18 (definition provided application)
- Two forms of Identification (Identification Card/Birth Certificate/Passport, etc.)
If all the initial documents are thoroughly complete and the applicant is eligible, the applicant and legal representative(s) will be invited for an interview and information meeting.
The wait time for a living space at ROAR Florida is approximately 3-5 years.
